AC needs

I went to check on my old man the other day. So as I was headed out the door, I grabbed a hoodie. That’s correct gear for me when it comes to seeing dad. But that’s wrong for this time of year where I live. My friend and I are lucky to be in a region where my associate and I are already fully into spring. There isn’t much winter season weather to speak of but there is no need for heating going forward. Yet, we are enjoying the best weather. It’s just about perfect plus I appreciate this time of year, then rolling around midday with a short sleeved shirt is just perfect. The sun feels so warm plus it’s so enjoyable to know that I’m in short full time the rest of the way. Yet, my dad lives in a comparative igloo. I feel his blood is just a heck of a lot thicker than mine. But then again, I’ve been down here decades while he’s been dealing with a gas furnace all Winter. I finally coaxed him down here once mom died. My friend and I got the residential heating and cooling replaced along with a new roof, and sold the family home, then with the proceeds, Dad was able to have some choices on where he wanted to live down here. He opted for a nice little loft that sits right on a hockey course. It’s perfect for him as chasing a hockey ball is his passion. But wow, as soon as the temperature exceeds 70 degrees, dad is always using the air conditioner. When I go over, he’s in a hockey shirt and shorts with socks to his knees. I’m in a hoodie wishing I had the guts to reach for the thermostat.
