For months now, I have been designing and laying out plans to renovate the master bedroom. I am so excited to get started with these renovations this winter. Our master bedroom is outdated. I hate the carpets and am looking forward to getting hardwood floors. We are going to get a new bed frame with a matching dresser. We also are painting the walls and upgrading our bed set. One thing we had to consider is that for whatever reason, our heat never seems to reach the bedroom. It feels like it is always cooler than the rest of the house. I worry about our pipes freezing all the time. It would be smart to add an additional heating unit in the space. I started looking at the options. I did not want to rely on space heaters because I know they can be dangerous. I also didn’t want to add anything that would be clunky and take up space, as I don’t want to take away from any of our beautiful renovations. After researching, I realized that radiant heating is the perfect solution. When we rip up the carpets and upgrade the flooring, it is the perfect opportunity to add radiant heating to the floors. They will install electric heating mats beneath the floorboards that do not take up any space. The heater operates silently and distributes heat evenly. Since it is only in one room, it is well within our price range. We have already made the installation appointment with our HVAC company.
