I’m hoping that the real estate market will finally allow respected people like us back in before too much longer. I’m just not sure how much longer my partner and I can deal with living in an apartment. The Heating and Air Conditioning equipment is so ancient that my buddy and I are having to call in for maintenance from the rental corporation on a bi-weekly basis. We’re just so tired of not having the sort of privacy that my buddy and I want. We’ve only been married a year now and we chose the lesser of two evils when we decided to live here. At least my partner’s apartment was better than mine if you can believe that. And my buddy and I both toil at nice jobs, so combining our income will really help when it comes to buying a house. But after spending the last six months looking, my buddy and I are a bit bummed out. It’s not even close for us to get into a home right now. The market is going to have to come back to us a bit before homeownership is feasible. Since my buddy and I are going to stay here for at least another year, we decided to address the indoor air quality of this apartment. And we did that with the purchase of a media air cleaner, and it’s a pretty regular model. We don’t have much space in the apartment so it’s not like my buddy and I have to transport it around a ton, but the difference it has made in the inside air is remarkable. The neighbors cooked some pretty intense foods that ended up stinking up our house, but the media air cleaner sure does a good job of removing the things from the air that causes those stinks.
