The weather is getting ready to take a turn for the worse and it’s going to start cooling off around here.
It hasn’t been all that cold this year so far, but the temperatures are going to get much colder next weekend, according to the forecast.
I was thinking about it when I saw the forecast, and I realized that we haven’t even had our regular furnace tune up done this year yet. Usually I have the HVAC company come out and check out the furnace before the weather even starts getting bad, but that didn’t happen this year for some reason. I have just been really busy with school and work and the kids and I totally forgot about making an appointment with the HVAC company. Then I saw how much the weather was going to start cooling down and I realized that getting the heating system tuned up was probably a good idea. I would hate for the cold weather to set in and then nothing happened when we tried to turn the furnace up on the thermostat! That would be just my luck, too. I knew for a fact that I needed to make an appointment with the HVAC company but I just kept on putting it off. Now, I’m going to have to race against the clock in order to get the furnace tuned up before it’s too late. The HVAC company is probably getting pretty backed up with appointments now that people are getting nervous about the cold weather.
