At times, we believe we are pretty smart and that we have learned a lot in life.
- But then, you discover something new and realize that you don’t know that much at all.
There’s an old saying that goes “you learn something new every day” and I couldn’t agree with it more. My friend sent me a video of a lady picking up a possum, but the article labeled the animal as an opossum. My friend also called it an opossum and when I asked her why, she said that is the actual name of the creature. I was shocked because all my life I thought that creepy animal was known as a possum. We are living in an age where we have so much information at our fingertips. If we don’t know something a simple search can get us the answer. For instance, my dad was trying to find the best air conditioning for his basement, and he asked me to research it for him. Well, in my research I discovered that there are 8 different types of air conditioners. Up until this point, I believed that there were 4 types, and they are central air conditioning, window A/C, portable A/C, and a ductless mini split A/C unit. These are the most common types of air conditioners, and the others are what I consider specialty air conditioning units. They include Smart A/C, hybrid / dual fuel air conditioner, Geothermal A/C and a floor mounted air conditioning unit. I don’t believe I will ever use any of these specialty units, so I will just stick to the ones I know.
