If you are like me, you are always on the lookout for some DIY projects to do. I enjoy DIY projects even though they often don’t turn out as good as I want them to. I have this cool green wooden frame on my wall that was a DIY project. It’s unusual and interesting. I also fix things as DIY projects sometimes. I recently replaced four doorknobs inside my house, and it has worked out well. The neighbor’s cat ruined my window screens, so I replaced those by myself. Some things I can fix, but I am not brave enough to make HVAC repairs. My niece, who is apparently braver than I am, took herself to the task of fixing her a/c one year. Her husband had been out of work for quite a while when the air conditioner simply stopped working. Well, we all live way down in the south, so being without the a/c is simply unacceptable, but they just didn’t have the money to call in the HVAC company. I could never do that. Window screens and door knobs are one thing, but the expensive HVAC unit is quite another. I have even replaced the faucets in my bathroom, and my brother will even replace the toilets. Even he agrees with me about the air conditioning and heating, though. It is best to call in the a/c service team to make those kinds of repairs. Being a DIY-er only goes so far! There is no sense in being reckless when it comes to things that are pricey and important in the house.
