I started driving for Lyft a few weeks back.
Two of my friends were working for the car service plus they were making a few hundred bucks a day in 6 hours.
I didn’t want to put lots of miles on my car, but the extra money sure came in hand when my computer stopped working. Unfortunately, driving for Lyft put me in the wrong place at the wrong time. I got a call to pick up a customer by the park. There was nothing weird about the call. I often go to the park to pick up people. On this certain evening, I arrived around 12 plus I found 3 boys waiting for me. I was only picking up one person, but it’s not odd to find out there are extra riders on the fly. As soon as every one of us left the park, I had a cop car following me. When the cops flipped on the lights, I pulled over. The 3 boys were wanted for armed robbery and now the cops feel I was the getaway driver. I have to hire a criminal lawyer to get me out of trouble. I tried to explain my side of the story, but the police didn’t believe me. I had to post bail and I spent the evening in jail. It was definitely the most embarrassing experience of my life. I had to call my dad to pick me up. I’m scared and distraught about the case, but thankfully, my parents found a wonderful criminal lawyer.
