Sometimes, you need to do things that you do not want to do.
For me, this included changing out my air conditioner.
The reason I did not want to change out my a/c system is because I have had this same air conditioner for around 15 years now. It has seen everything, from the time my children were small, to the day they graduated high school and left home for college. If I’m being honest, my wife and I have been suffering a bit of empty nest syndrome after their leaving. It’s the kind of feeling that gives you different feelings. In one way we are proud because we successfully raised our children to be happy, independent adults, However, it is hard not to miss the simpler times, when the kids were small and the world and the future had so many stories untold. But now like ourselves, the house is getting old, and so are many of the appliances within it. I hate to change anything out for something new. I wanted to age with my belongings, and for many I will. But I knew I needed to get a new HVAC system. The air conditioner was especially worn and if my wife and I were going to enjoy a good quality indoor climate then we would need to get a new a/c system. We decided to focus on that first, thankfully for us, there is a heating and cooling supplier not too far from where we live. Picking out a new a/c was easy, we didn’t want anything fancy, we simply wanted an air conditioner that would get us through the rest of our years. Sometimes a few new upgrades are necessary.
