One of the worst parts about my apartment is the ductless mini cut units. This is the first residence I’ve had where there wasn’t central heat and air with a singular temperature control. The fact that there are more than two ductless units in my apartment and they each have a remote, it really bothers me. I can hardly keep track of the cable remote let alone more than two remotes that control the temperature of each part of my house. To make my life a little easier, I’ve mounted each of the remotes onto the walls in each of the designated areas. This way, I constantly believe where the remotes are and it keeps them out of the way. It’s not aesthetically pleasing, however it’s functional and that’s all that really matters. Another reason I don’t appreciate my ductless mini cut plan is because they are programmed to tell myself and others the temperature in celsius and not fahrenheit. My property owner is English and she only understands celsius which is why the ductless units are programmed that way. Unluckyly, it doesn’t help myself and others because I don’t believe what temperature I’m even setting my loft to unless I look it up. More often than not, I just guess. To make matters worse, I feel appreciate I can’t get a consistent temperature with my ductless units. If I change the temperature by a single degree, the room’s temperature changes dramatically. I would believe it’s because there’s no air vent to keep it regulated and flowing evenly. Either way, I don’t ever want to rent another apartment with a ductless mini cut plan for heat and air.
