This might sound a little bit crazy, but I decided to glue our smart thermostat to the wall. This was because our youngsters kept messing with the smart thermostat pulling it off the wall & plugging it back in. I kept yelling at them not to touch the smart thermostat, however they wouldn’t listen. Eventually, they ended up breaking the base of the smart thermostat that holds the component in site. I didn’t guess what to do so I decided to get some gorilla glue & glue it to the wall. It’s clogged in securely now & you can’t even pull it from the wall. This absolutely was a foolish transfer because if it ever breaks, how am I going to update it? In the meantime, it’s working just fine. My buddies said I should have called an Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman to come update the base of the smart thermostat, however no, I had to do things our way. It’s at least working just fine, I just need to make sure the youngsters don’t end up breaking the actual smart thermostat. I absolutely hope it lasts myself and others forever because I don’t look forward to replacing it. Thermostats tend to last for a absolutely long time anyway, so long as youngsters are not messing around with them! I guess I might have to put a lock cage around our thermostat so the youngsters can’t mess with it any longer. Then that smart thermostat will last a long time & I can typically just adjust the temperature control settings with our iphone. I guess I’m going to have to do that just to make sure it remains safe for a long phase of time.
