I need to chop firewood before it gets colder outside

I have a lot of work to get done before I get any further into the year. The summer has finally finished and now we are transitioning into the autumn season. I need to get the house ready for the change in seasons. Since we have a lot of leaky windows that aren’t particularly good at sealing the house from air leaking in or out, I like to use window film in the winter to create an air barrier in place of better windows. The only problem is that installing window film is not easy as it can be punctured by a lot of the metal that you would find on a windowsill. After I’ve put up the window film in the appropriate areas, and then have to use weather stripping on the doors. This is a lot of work to do in preparation for the winter season every year. But the biggest task of all has to be chopping all of the wood for my wood stove. I rely on my wood stove to keep my house as warm as possible so I don’t have to utilize a central furnace nearly as much. Right now I’m using a propane furnace and it’s not particularly efficient at what it does. That’s why I realize so much about the wood stove as a supplemental heating system. But unless I utilize the wood stove regularly and have that wood chopped and ready to go, it’s a losing battle with the furnace. Therefore I need to get more wood chopped ahead of the winter season. Then I’ll be ready to use my wood stove to heat my house as much as possible.
