I have a really tough decision to make here. At least to me it seems like a tough decision. I have a small room in my house where I do a lot of hobby type stuff and the central heating and air conditioning doesn’t really work too well in that room. There is this really small air vent that doesn’t pump the air flow out too well. I have been thinking about either getting a ductless mini split air conditioning system and converting it to a ductless mini split heating and air conditioning system. But on the other hand, I was thinking about maybe just buying a portable space heater and a portable air conditioning system. In the end, the ductless mini split air conditioning system and the conversion costs will be a little more than buying a portable space heater and a portable air conditioning system. However, with a ductless mini split air conditioning system being converted into a ductless mini split heating and air conditioning system, I can have everything in one HVAC unit. Not to mention, it would probably be a lot better for the air flow verses having just a portable space heater and a portable air conditioning system sitting on the floor. With the ductless mini split heating and air conditioning system method, I can have it mounted up on the wall to direct the air flow to my exact liking so that it will heat and cool the room as quick as possible. I think I will be going with the ductless mini split air conditioning system conversion for sure.
