I have not been happier with a furnace in my entire life
I got to go on a few fun holiday trips when I was a kid. My dad was working in New York City and he took my brother and I along with him a few times. We got to stay in some really cool hotels in the city. I remember looking out our hotel room windows and seeing the amazing sparkle of lights in the city down below. It was an amazing experience to have at that age. And on top of the cool sites and sounds of the huge city, the hotels were pretty nice to match as well, one of the hotels that we stayed in actually had an advanced heating and cooling system throughout. We were often in New York during the winter time or fall season, so we needed access to good heating. One of the hotel rooms that we had one year actually had radiant heated flooring in it. This was the first time I had experienced radiant heated flooring for myself. I was also utterly impressed by how comfortable it felt having the heat rise up from beneath my feet. And since there was also a good-quality and modern furnace in the room, we had both types of heat the whole time. Now it has been at least 20 years since that experience. But I still live in a cold climate and I was thinking recently about getting radiant heated flooring for myself. It was a huge undertaking with a lot of money to invest, despite the fact that I decided to get radiant heated flooring installed earlier this week. I have not been happier with a furnace in my entire life. It’s a very energy efficient way to keep the whole house warm, especially with the zone control options. I could never go back to a normal furnace at this point.
