I wanted to be the boss

Remember when teachers typically asked you just what you wanted to be when you grew up? I was the kid that typically answered that I wanted to be a businessman. I appreciated the idea of being my own boss plus not having to listen to anyone else. That ambition stayed with me. While I was at college, I had a small office cleaning business. I got a group of our buddies together plus all of us worked as an office cleaning company for 3 days a week. There weren’t that many purchasers plus most of them I knew or had been referred to. It was mostly light janitorial work. I did carpet cleaning, took out the trash plus tidied up. It was a great feeling to be our own boss. The dough was great to have in my bank account as well. This was a great learning curve for being my own boss. Interestingly, when I was finished with school, I opened our own commercial cleaning service. It was quite a bit more than my maid repair for hire thing I had before. It was a big time commercial cleaning and janitorial crew. It was a great way to start out right from school. I was able to raise some cash in order to buy machines like for floor stripping plus waxing machines. Having done this a bit before helped when I began bringing on staff. I knew it took people with an attention to detail to make a commercial cleaning company a success. It has been nearly 13 years plus I still love it.
