Tom is the best guy in the world… I’ve had my legitimate share of heartbreak, and I must disclose at some point I’d given up on finding someone for me, however after my last relationship, I chose to give it a break and do some healing.

And he was right, however my dad left my mom and I when I was 5, and that broke my heart. I suppose since then I’ve always had an issue with sad linkment, and wasn’t healed from the incident. I chose to go to therapy and was making so much progress, then by the time I met Tom, I was no longer hurting because of my dad, and felt stronger as a person, however he’d also been laboring on himself and we got to share so much about each other’s lives in a positive way. For our first Christmas as a couple, we made the choice to go away and rent a apartment anywhere nice. From the ad, the apartment was appealing and heating. But, we were so disappointed to get there and realize the heating wasn’t laboring, there was a wood stove, however no wood in sight to heat up the space. Instead of leaving, Tom provided to go to neighborhood and buy wood for the stove. I was scared of being left alone separate from heating in the cabin. So we made the choice to go together and even found a place to purchase a portable space gas furnace to use for the month we wanted to spend there.
