I didn’t suppose it could ever happen to me.
- Those are some famous last words plus I can’t guess I caught myself repeating them.
But indeed, I thought I was just too careful plus good to ever get hurt on our bike. Sitting around in the Heating & A/C comfort is not what I’m built to do. I labor in an office with zone controlled Heating & A/C plus all the amenities. Still, I’m out of there care about a shot at suppertime just to get some fresh air on our walks. And when I leave that zone controlled Heating & A/C in the night for home, I make sure I get out on our bike for a ride. Biking has consistently been a great passion for me. And I’ve consistently prided myself on being so careful. There have been just a few close calls over more than 3 decades of cycling. But the odds were not in our favor when I got hit from behind by a car. The driver was just 16 plus was texting at the time. Thankfully, I survived however I didn’t get out unscathed. My injuries required surgery plus a long convalescence. But I’m blessed to have such great quality heating plus air in our site. Spending most of the summer time inside the air conditioning was tough enough. But doing so without it would have been far worse. What’s more is that I am able to control the smart thermostat with the app on our cellphone. That made it easier for me to change the thermostat setting from bed or the couch.
