Loving the efficiency of a heating and cooling system

Each Spring, I’m reminded of how amazing it is that I get to live right where I do. It’s nothing short of magnificent actually. And having a Spring like this is like the bonus round after the perfect winter season weather my associate and I get each year. There’s just enough cold snaps to require a bit of effort from the heat pump. But that’s about the depths of our winter. Again, I’m so grateful to live where I do because as if that’s not enough, then we get this sort of spring. The spring starts off so lovely with all things in bloom or in some form of rebirth. My friend and I get to cherish that right into May before the heat and humidity get ratcheted to a level that needs air conditioner night plus afternoon. That happens here for sure. But my associate and I are lucky to have technology, to manage that level of oppressive heat. And in our house, I know we’re going to be able to count on this heat pump for as long as my associate and I live here. That’s saying a lot since we’re in our 30s. But the fact that my associate and I have a geothermal heat pump makes it possible that we won’t need to replace our HVAC system until we’re in our 70’s. By that point, we’ll be living somewhere smaller. With a geo heat pump, not only do you get the best efficiency on the market, but the longevity is a significant replacement over traditional heat pumps. So that means that we’ll be saving on air conditioner costs for a absolutely, absolutely long time.
