I grew up trying to, at all costs, avoid having to deal with expense.
Mostly, this was due to the fact that I didn’t have much currency in those day.
I remember how fortunate I felt when I found a local shade tree mechanic who would work on my truck for more than half the cost of a dealer. It felt as though someone just wrote me a check. Now, I didn’t have to worry about the HVAC repairs in those mornings because I didn’t own my home. If there was something wrong with the heating & cooling, I just called the building owner. That was an expense I did not have to figure out. These mornings I am doing much better financially than I was all those years ago. Yet, I am still constantly trying find a way to dodge expenses. Having a family plus a lake house is an costly proposition. Then you throw in a rather costly HVAC service plus the yearly budget gets wiped out. That’s why I contemplated finding someone who would work on my HVAC on the side. The HVAC company told us a month ago that the two of us would need some service to the HVAC air handler. The condition wasn’t dire but it had to be done before the Summer heat was cranking. Well, here it is the start of Summer plus I have been calling my buddies to find a lady who can work on HVAC stuff that isn’t with an HVAC company. Luckily, most of my friends told me I was deranged plus that I needed to call the HVAC professionals. I think I knew this all along but I think a woman can dream right?
