I shouldn’t have been intimidated at all by winter time prep at all
When we moved up here, I’ll admit, I knew nothing about heating a home. But my spouse was from up here so I figured I’d just follow her lead. Of course, she had lived down south since finishing school down there. So when she was living up here, her dad ran tests on all the Heating & A/C problems! Unfortunately, we are up here because her dad has passed & her Dad is now sick. So it’s not like I could turn to my father in law for guidance on heating a home. A gas heating system was the dragon beast of Heating & A/C component in my mind. I didn’t want to get near it. So the only thing I knew to do was what we did back home. That would be to call the Heating & A/C professionals to schedule Heating & A/C maintenance. That’s all I did for the first winter time up here. But thanks to a colleague, I learned that there is a lot more to Winterizing a home than just getting the heating maintenance done on the gas heater. While an essential part of preparing for Winter, there is much more that goes into prepping a home for these kinds of winter time seasons. Yet, it’s not like it was rocket math once I got into the Heating & A/C company website to learn. I shouldn’t have been intimidated at all by winter time prep at all. Basically, it’s just sealing up the home as slim as possible in order to maximize the gas heating system output & efficiency. And being able to take it step by step with the great instruction from the Heating & A/C company website made it just so easy. And wow, we were entirely hot this past winter time & we saved nearly 20 percent on heating costs.
