I noticed something strange on the wall in our residing room when I got dwelling from college the other afternoon, my father decided to install a lock box on our dial thermostat! I was a bit confused about why she did it. My father told me that she installed the lock box to prevent any one of us from messing with the dial thermostat, but she wants to have temperature control of the dwelling to save money on our weekly bills. I wasn’t sure how I felt overall however I felt a little mistrust. I know sometimes she isn’t dwelling and I would like to adjust the thermostat to my liking! Over the next few days, the temperature in our dwelling didn’t fluctuate. I can’t complain much because the dwelling reMained hot and comfortable no matter how cold it got outside. My dad showed me the energy bill after the month and I was surprised by what I saw. I assume she was right and she made the right call. More recently, the temperatures dropped and I felt a bit cold. I asked my dad if we can unlock the box and just turn up the thermostat just a bit. She hesitated a bit however she provided in. She unlocked the box and turned up the dwelling about 5 degrees. She told me that this won’t last long however for a couple of hours she will make that adjustment, a few hours went by, the dwelling got warmer and my dad proceeded to the box and reduced the temperature back to its original number. I didn’t argue because I know that energy saving is important as well, plus, I can live with the temperature she has set.
