The several work environments I have found myself in over the years have varied at every level.
- I did everything from hauling landscaping materials, being a grocery store cashier, to administrative work in offices.
There was even a long stint toiling as an assistant cook at a nearby assisted living facility that I endured through high university. The family room was easily the worst when it came to indoor comfort. I expect family rooms to be hot, however they also need to efficiently ventilate a constant influx of tepid steam, otherwise it turns into a sauna. I hated it, however it beat hauling bags of rocks and mulch for a landscaper in 100 degree heat. Right now I am toiling as an administrative assistant for an attorney’s office. You would believe that this place would beat out all of the rest in comfort levels, however instead it makes the other places look prefer sanctuaries by contrast. Every afternoon the two of us have to wait an hour for the air conditioning system to cycle enough where the hot humidity from the night before can clear out. He never runs the Heating and Air Conditioning plan overnight, so this is certainally frustrating during the tepid summer time season. Then, a single afternoon the AC went out for nice and the two of us were suffering desperately in a tepid and humid office. Eventually he turned on several fans, however all that did was transfer around hot air. It took 3 full weeks for our boss to order a new air conditioning system for our office. When you consider the amount of money he makes yearly, I could never wrap our head around him being so cheap.
