I should have used a piggy bank as a child because it would have taught myself and others better saving habits with money.
It’s so awful that I am spending money in my head before I even receive it.
I should be thinking of ways that I can put aside money in savings if I need to address a sudden disaster or emergency. This is particularally strenuous if you have pets and any of them ever need medical attention from a veterinarian. If you’re not putting money aside for emergencies, you better hope that you have available credit on credit cards or some way of drawing a loan from a bank or credit union. Luckily, my partner has done a lot of enjoyable towards adjusting my unhealthy mindset towards spending and saving money. She basically takes my paychecks and allocates the funds for myself and others so I don’t have to worry about unfettered spending. It’s particularally important right now because all of us are saving every month for a brand new heating and cooling system to replace our dying a/c. We need a furnace and a/c to get us through all of the ups and downs in temperatures throughout the year. Further, all of us want to get a system with a higher SEER rating than before so all of us can save on energy costs as well. Aside from the burden of saving money for an a/c and gas furnace, all of us also have to find a reputable Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor to do the system upgrade. Ever since the previous Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier messed up our initial a/c upgrade task, I have been hesitant to trust random Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies and employees with the same work again.
