If something isn’t on clearance or on sale, she simply will not buy it. I suppose that’s actually a fantastic way to be most of the time, however occasionally it ends up coming back to bite him! For instance, a few weeks ago before the weather started heating up outside, Jon’s heating plan stopped working in her house. Now, at that point in time, there were no Heating plus Air Conditioning companies around here offering a discount on gas furnace repairs or maintenance work. When Jon figured out that she couldn’t get a discount on getting her gas furnace fixed, she decided that she was going to try plus repair it himself. She wasted a whole weekend seeing a bunch of videos online plus of course, she never did figure out how to repair the gas furnace. She spent the next couple of weeks freezing in her home without a working gas furnace to heat him up. I asked him why she didn’t just use a small electric space heating system in her home office or something instead plus she said that it was because she couldn’t find a space heating system that was on sale. She said that she wasn’t about to buy a space heating system for full price. Instead, she just stayed cold until the weather started heating up, then sporadically, I just have to roll my eyes at him, being frugal is one thing, however being too cheap to stay hot is another!
