My wife and I are always on the lookout for ways to save money around the house.
We recently got really stringent with our budgeting especially when it comes to the things we buy at the grocery store.
We also quit eating out at restaurants, which saved us a significant chunk of money compared to what we were previously spending. I had absolutely no idea we were spending so much money at restaurants until we stopped. And ended up being a significant chunk of cash that we immediately managed to save after we stopped going. We decided to get better with cooking and downloaded a few recipe books online. We’re getting better all the time and our food is tasting increasingly delicious. It’s really nice to improve so well, it’s something so important. Another way we want to save money is by More energy efficiency at home. We want to achieve better energy efficiency within the HVAC system. We want to get an air conditioner with a higher SEER rating than we have now. An air conditioning system with a higher SEER rating means it will cool the house using less energy in the process. It’s a better performing and a higher energy efficient machine. The real question is whether or not we can afford an air conditioning with a higher seer rating than the one we have currently. Naturally, the higher energy efficient machines are more expensive than the energy wasting machines. We’re going to have to call the heating and cooling company and see what kind of machines they have available at whatever price ranges. Hopefully they’ll have something that fits what we want.
