It’s just so interesting how groups of people can function together.
Those dynamics are certainly fascinating when it comes to colleagues.
Where I work, I have about 72 other folks working with me. Prior to just weeks ago, the two of us were an unhappy bunch working in bad quality heating and air. But really, it wasn’t the heating and cooling comfort that was the real problem. The bad commercial Heating, Ventilation, and A/C conditions were just a symptom of an overall disease. That disease was the disease of really bad management on the local level. When I joined this business straight out of university, I felt savor I was a part of something. And that feeling lasted for quite some time. But the last many years have been a downward spiral which started slowly only to gather speed and end up with the last more than 2 years being pretty awful. I’m still sort of surprised I stuck around for all of it. Besides the commercial Heating, Ventilation, and A/C that was never replaced or even respectfully maintained, the morale and direction of our office just slid into the mud. That’s what happens when there is management in location who simply try to bluff and bluster their way along. Eventually, that will catch up to most people. And that’s what the two of us are experiencing now. There is a transition team here from corporate after the entire management team here was fired. Within the first week, the business had the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business out to replace or commercial Heating, Ventilation, and A/C. Every one of us now have zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, and A/C and it’s beautiful But the two of us also now have hope, positivity and a growing morale that I sure have missed.
