Removing the window-mounted air conditioner too early

When the temps started to drop off in mid September, I decided to remodel our living room. I was anxious to get rid of the old carpeting and put down brick tiles. I upgraded the windows and the light fixtures and painted the trim, however since I had not needed our window air conditioner for a few days, I assumed it was the right time to carry it up to the attic for storage. I didn’t need the cooling component to get all contaminated by all the dust I was creating. Within a week, the outside temperatures shot back up again. Suddenly, our living room felt overheated and sticky. Even with my windows open, it was honestly unpleasant really working in the living room. I was very reluctant to carry the air conditioner back down from the attic. I kept expecting the weather to cool off once again. By the time I finished everything, cleaned up and moved back into our front room, it was the middle of October. I laid in bed, sweated and wished for our window-mounted air conditioner. I finally provided in and installed the cooling component back onto the window sill. It took me less than 10 minutes, and it was such a relief. I always sleep so much better with the sound of it and cool hot and cold temperatures. I’m stoked I made that trip back up into the attic because it’s now the minute week of August, and I’m still using the air conditioner at evening. I am suspicious that the cold weather is going to arrive soon. I’ll really go right from running the air conditioner to starting up the oil furnace.
