The last thing that I made sure to do was get all of the food and desserts ready to make sure that there was plenty of food for everyone.
The christmas season in the year is the most amazing time for me. Getting to hang out with friends, catch up with my siblings, and take a break from work is just amazing. Almost every year my family and I all meet up over at my parents house but this past year was much different. Last year in my hometown a huge flood occured which had ruined my parents home. Due to this disaster, the christmas day festivities were then transferred over to my house. Now that I was in charge I wanted to do my best to make sure that my parents were able to have a good time and forget about the disaster back home for a short while. In order to do this, I decided to reach out to the HVAC company in town in order to install a state of the art heating and cooling unit. After the certified HVAC repairman had finished with that task, I was then focused on cleaning out the guest room and making it extra nice. The last thing that I made sure to do was get all of the food and desserts ready to make sure that there was plenty of food for everyone. When christmas day finally came, my parents and siblings all had a great time. It was the first time that I saw my parents laugh and smile since before the flood happened! I got countless compliments on the new a/c unit, but the best compliment I got was how proud they were of me for taking care of the christmas hosting duties. If I had to do it all over again I would, all for the love of my parents and siblings.
