My wife and I took the kids skiing this winter for the first time.
Our children are 10, 12, and 13 years old.
My wife and I enjoy skiing and snowboarding, but we wanted to wait until the children were old enough to enjoy the sport. It can be physically demanding , but my wife and I felt that the children were ready. We booked a lodge for the 5 of us. Our lodge was located next to the activity center. The kids had a great time in the activity center during the day when we weren’t skiing on the slopes. The activity center had lots of board games and plenty of tables and chairs. The place also had a small snack bar with hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and candy. My favorite part about the activity center was the fireplace.It was in the middle of the room and the entire bottom was open so you could feel heat from all four sides. It was a beautiful piece of heating equipment and the structure was completed using stones from the mountain. A member of the staff tended the fireplace all day. The fireplace never ran out of wood. The activity center was open from morning until night and late on Saturday and Sunday evening. When all of us weren’t outside in the snow, we had a great time playing games in the activity center. We spent a whole week at the lodge and the kids would have stayed a lot longer. They had more fun than we anticipated and they absolutely love learning how to ski and snowboard.
