I have multiple children & it’s nice to have anywhere close to take the youngsters to play around.
It usually takes a very long time for anything in government to ever get done, i would know, because I work for the Dept of Transportation. A few months back, our community voted to construct a new playground in the vacant lot across the street from our town, then the lot has been vacant for well past 10 years & there is always overgrowth from bushes, weeds, & tricks. It can be a popular hangout spot for homeless folks & other vagabonds, & a lot of youngsters use this part for drugs; One of our neighbors wrote a local petition to have the town turn the part into a playground. I was gleeful to see that the item had passed the vote last Tuesday. I did not expect to see a construction corporation on the website already. I woke up early this morning when I heard the construction crew arrived. There were a few giant construction trucks ready to demolish the part & start digging up the ground. I am quite surprised to see the construction crew here already, & that means it won’t be long before the playground will open up. I have multiple children & it’s nice to have anywhere close to take the youngsters to play around. There is a small playground in this town, however it is always filled with people & the youngsters never have access to all of the playground equipment. The slide has a big crack & it cannot even be used. The new playground will feature 7 different new structures that will allow the children to exercise their body & mind & creativity. It’s exciting to see this process begin.
