I was visiting with my mom when I asked if she would let me go upstairs to get something out of the attic.

She told me to take whatever I wanted plus even offered to let me have some of her chokers plus other items from that era. When I got halfway up the stairs, I almost swooned. There was so much heat coming from the attic that I felt like I was going to pass out. I told her my buddy and I needed ventilation in the attic. When they put the new roof on, someone had closed off the windows that allowed for airflow, plus it was nearly 125 degrees up there. Mom said she thought about putting a portable cooling system up there, but they were so extravagant to buy plus run. I asked her when she was going to give up the dwelling plus move in with me. She told me I could move in with her. I had grown up in the house, plus I absolutely thought about it, but my home had brand new ductless heating plus air conditioning. I hated the outdated central heating plus air conditioner. The cost of running it was double what I paid. It used too much fossil fuel, plus it didn’t cool or heat plus my ductless heating plus air conditioning. Mom asked if I had room for her plus all her stuff. I simply told her I would make room. She laughed and then told me she would suppose it.
