Moving is never an easy thing.
- This is something that I have had to do over plus over plus it never gets better.
Genuinely, there isn’t anything much worse than having to let your family feel that there is another move coming up. This time it was even worse because I had to leave for my new position instantly. My partner plus myself genuinely had to talk about it a lot because I was fully ready to have this latest move be a deal breaker. I was willing to walk away. But cooler heads prevailed. Fortunately, I was able to find some short term housing in the new region. I have a lot of time plus energy invested in my career plus my partner pointed out to me that this might be the last time the two of us have to move. Also the boys are all still young enough that they will be able to adjust to new schools plus all of that. But with this short term rental housing, I am actually able to have the entire family out to the new region. This month to month lease allows me to have a condo base for my partner plus family to transition to. My partner can take his time getting our condo on the market plus the two of us can let the boys finish the year as well. I feel this will be a lot easier for them to start fresh in a new year. And the furnished condo acts as a home base for me while I wait for the family to join me. Having the fully furnished rental will also allow for a far easier transition. All of us can now be included in finding our new home.
