If you think that you can start fixing your HVAC units on your own by reading some books, I want you to know that you are sadly mistaken.
Sure, there are some things that you might be able to learn from videos and books about fixing HVAC units, but you will never be able to match the skill of an actual HVAC technician.
There is something that you learn from HVAC training and experience that you could never replace through reading alone. For instance, do you know how difficult it is to diagnose what is wrong with your furnace or central air conditioner? Sure, you may be able to tell if your furnace or central air conditioner stops working. It is pretty obvious that something is wrong when your HVAC units won’t turn on. You might also be able to find a bunch of videos online explaining a whole bunch of different types of repairs on an HVAC unit. However, before any of those HVAC videos can be helpful, you have to actually figure out what is wrong with your HVAC unit. There are hundreds of different things that can stop working on an HVAC unit and a ton of similar symptoms. Our training teaches us how to quickly figure out what is wrong with your HVAC unit, but you don’t have that advantage. How many things are you willing to replace before you actually find the correct problem. Do you think that this will help you save money? This is only one of the things that HVAC training provides. Please, leave the HVAC repairs to the professionals.
