There are some days where you have so much to do it is hard to keep track of everything! I had one of those days a few days ago, when I was in a rush trying to set up my office for working at home.
I had recently gotten a job that is a permanent stay at home position, and as excited as I was for that job, everything just seemed to go wrong from the start! Setting up an office is not hard, and it shouldn’t be either, but what could go wrong will go wrong.
So one of the first things I wanted to get was a portable air conditioning system for my office. This was crucial, because our home office doesn’t have any heating or cooling in it, nor does it have any air vents from the central HVAC unit. So in the summer and winter time, it is hard to be there. The portable heater was delayed due to bad weather, and wasn’t supposed to arrive for another week. I could probably deal with a week of bad temperatures, but then my work computer’s monitor went out! I originally paid to have the monitor fixed, but the repair guy only fixed it for a day before it went out again. So then in a rush, I had to quickly go out and buy a new monitor which didn’t want to work at first either. Finally, I was able to get everything set up the way it was supposed to be, but I was really worried for a while!
