Commercial building automation for security purposes

I own a business in the heart of the city.

I never really thought about security purposes until theft started becoming a problem.

I then began hunting around for a security system. There is so much out there. There are security cameras, surveillance, real time footage, automated lights, building locks, and more. I decided that a building management system was probably for the best. What I was able to do was get an entire security network on a single hub. To start with I played around with the building access control. I got a card access system that only allows my employees after hour times. I then got integrated system installation in the facility. I have security cameras, motion detectors, lights, and an integrated HVAC system all on a BMS pad. I can control everything from a single hub to decide what to do. I like that the security cameras now begin filing anytime they notice movement. I also have lights that brighten when people walk to display cases. It seems like it is just a convenience thing but it really is to draw my workser attention to an area in case something is attempting to shoplift. Having security cameras all over the place has really helped. The automated lights, door locks, and card access are a much better option than what I originally had to. When you have a commercial facility a commercial building automated system is really for the best. You have total peace of mind and quite a boost in energy savings when you rely on it.
