How to live in a multi-apartment house

I feel like I have lived in a lot of unique situations in my life.

I have lived in many locations across the country, experiencing many climates as far as both weather and social issues. And it is rather amazing how Regional opinions and Lifestyles can be. One of the things that I have found most interesting is living in smaller college towns around the country. They have very unique living situations and a young, creative energy about them most of the time. Because of this, I have lived in several college towns for several different opportunities. One of the things that I learned quickly was how to pick a good apartment – keeping the heating, cooling, and air quality control system in mind more than anything, that is. You see, I have found that nothing is as important as your indoor air quality. If you are living in a super Posh apartment but cannot control the indoor air temperature or the indoor air quality, well you might as well move out. It is never going to be comfortable without adequate indoor air temperature control. That’s why I have figured out the best way to live in apartment buildings made out of old houses. You have probably seen multi-unit structures before. They can be great… Or they can have one Central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. If you only have one thermostat split between 4-6 different indoor air temperature control preferences? You might as well set the house on fire. No one can agree on a single thermostat setting, every room will have an uneven temperature, and every human will be permanently uncomfortable. If you go with a split residence rental, be sure you have your own thermostat.
