I could tell the heating and A/C professional was inexperienced

When my doorbell rang, I knew it was probably the heating and A/C specialist. I was expecting the A/C dealer to come and inspect a thermostat malfunctioning. I have been having problems with my HVAC unit heating and cooling my home, but I didn’t think it was my furnace or A/C, I figured it was probably the thermostat. Why? Because the HVAC system was probably only around 4 years old, I was there when it was installed, so I know that it is far too young to start having problems. The thermostat, though, hasn’t been replaced in a long time. Honestly, I should have gotten the thermostat replaced when I had the entire HVAC method replaced. Maybe a nice smart thermostat or something. But anyways, I let the guy in, and instead of going over to the thermostat, he instead stopped and stared at my central A/C component. I watched as he just stared at it for several minutes. Then he began to attempt to take the central heater apart before I stopped him and asked what he was doing. When I told him of my situation, he stopped messing with the unit, which it looked like he couldn’t take it apart anyways. Then he went over to the thermostat, and did mostly the same thing, just stared at it. After mashing random buttons, he gave it a good slap and told me it worked fine. Yeah right. I dismissed the inexperienced HVAC guy and called to complain. I really wish they would stop sending these brand new out of HVAC university kids over to my place, they barely know what they’re doing.
