This past weekend I went out for a bachelorette party. It was downtown so we all stayed in a hotel. No one was going to be driving home after drinking all night. We thought we were all going to come back and be super warm. However when we got back to our room we were freezing! My friend thought we would be warm so she turned the thermostat really low. We had to turn the thermostat up way higher to get comfortable in that room. The weather outside isn’t even that warm anymore so we were really freezing. Then, we all woke up in the middle of the night sweating so I got up to turn the thermostat a little lower again. That is the best and worst part about having an HVAC system. Sometimes you are unsure about how to set it to make it the most comfortable for you. If you are used to having and HVAC system then you should know what is the right temperature for you to be at. Turning that thermostat down before we left was probably the worst thing we could have done. However I am happy that in our hotel room we were supplied with a thermostat. Some hotels do not give you a thermostat to adjust the temperature and you are stuck with whatever. At least we could adjust the temperature of the air to remain comfortable for the entire night. My tip for you is to not turn the thermostat down really low even if you think you are going to be warm. Your room might end up feeling like antarctica.
