Tending to a shoulder injury

This is what I get for serving an abundance of skyballs.

A skyball is a type of volleyball serve in which you hit the ball with your fist, from the bottom of the ball upwards, & send it up in the air about seven stories high so that the opponents ideally have trouble passing it.

I’m about 80% with them & I love doing them because it is a crowd pleaser. It’s fun for people to follow the balls with their gaze, watching them fly through the air, be it tennis, hockey, volleyball, etc. But my shoulder has paid the price for 30 years of playing. In order to heal my shoulder after a volleyball game, I have to take a dip in cold water, and then apply a hot compress. Earlier this week, I hurt my shoulder & am doing physical therapy once again, this time being a partial dislocation. I have our HVAC plan running right now with the heat on in our powder room because I am taking an ice bath. When I get out of the ice bath, I like to recover in a nice, toasty room. I stay in the ice bath for 20 minutes & then sit right beside the HVAC vent to warm up. I also run a space heater to supplement the standard heating. I will likely need several weeks to heal this injury before I can start exercising again & then maybe another several weeks before I can start playing light volleyball again. During the time off from playing, I am going to get our duct work cleaned & repaired because I have noticed less airflow coming from the vents.
