Why I installed a hybrid heat pump system

I inherited a home from my dad, who inherited it from his dad.

This cycle has been going for generations.

Each firstborn son takes charge of the house when the last keeper dies. It is a culture that my feminist sisters protest to date even though none of them would love to live in the space. I also have another house in the city which has all the features of a modern home. Even so, I couldn’t run away from my family’s home. I had to take care of it by ensuring everything runs as it should. Fortunately, the house has its own fund, which helps meet the real estate’s maintenance cost. For a long time, this house has been using an old heating furnace to keep it warm during winter. The furnace is broken and needs to be replaced. I talked to my siblings about this and asked for their opinion on the heating system that I should install, and they all had divergent opinions, as always. I knew I had to make a choice myself, and everyone else would deal with the consequence of my decision. But at least, I had heard what they would like. I consulted my HVAC contractor, and he advised me to install a hybrid heat pump system. This HVAC system combines an electric heat pump and a propane or gas-burning furnace. It also had a cooling system to cool a house during summer. I ran this idea by my siblings for their opinion, and they were unusually agreeable to it. In fact, they said it was the perfect system for the old home. I went ahead and contacted an HVAC supplier and booked my heat and AC product. I deluged the installation process to an HVAC technician who installed the HVAC system in my home. It’s been two years now, and we’ve spent two winters at the old home with the new HVAC system.
