Adding hydronic heating was a great idea

When I purchased our forever beachside house I was a little bit saddened by the boiler in the basement.

I hated how giant the size was, and thought it was ugly.

I wanted to store things in the section and maybe make it a task out room too. This old boiler was making all those plans difficult. Thankfully I didn’t just tear out the boiler, instead I ran tests on it first, but despite the boiler looking love it was going to die at any moment, it was a strong and amazing furnace. My whole beach house was heated perfectly with it. It provided very quiet, efficient and reliable heat all Winter long. When our spouse started redoing the floors inside the beach house he mentioned adding heated flooring. I thought that would make our old boiler obsolete. I then found that hydronic heating would be possible, but you connect pipes to the boiler and boiling water flows from the boiler and through the pipes installed in the newer flooring. All of us now have hydronic heating in every room of the house. It uses the boiler and makes for a better way to heat. There is no noise, chilly spots or heat rises to the ceiling to be wasted. The utility bills are lower due to this and a guy feels warmer when their feet are. Anything that rests on the radiant floors feels sizzling as a result. The couch, loveseat and recliners all believe lille they are heated as well. I just like our heating method and all our guests do as well. All of us have critters that sleep on the bare flooring rather than on our throw carpets because of the heat.
