I just went through something that will give me plenty of life experience.
I’m still new at my job.
Becoming acclimated to it has been a learning curve in so many ways. I grew up in the South. The heat pump was the only piece of heating plus cooling equipment my associate and I needed. I went to school in the South. My first job was four hours away from where I grew up. And that was even a bit further South in latitude. Things were coming right along, as I began to make my bones inside the commercial heating and cooling of the regional office where I started. I was able to get promoted a couple of times within the first five years. Even with the raise in pay, I stuck to the mediocre quality heating plus air of my apartment. It was fine. I was an adult but still had some youth possibilities as well. Then, that all changed when I took my first serious promotion to be second in request in this office. Of course, I didn’t entirely figure out just how difficult all of this was going to be. I was taking on a modern job with large time accountability. I was moving from the air conditioner to the serious heating of winter and I was also to become a homeowner. I got punched right in the mouth when it came to the level of cold up here in the winter. Thankfully, my realtor made sure that I at least had a new gas furnace to get me through the tundra of winter. It’s still not done either as I just reached for the thermostat, and more heat.
