Working as an HVAC professional, I’ve come across some very improper situations. I’ve gotten called for a service because a pet hamster somehow got into the ductwork. I’ve faced bees in the ductwork, air conditioners struck by lightning, cooling coils covered in mold plus gas gas furnaces submerged in flood waters. I’ve been hired to install heating unit that is far too large to fit into the replacement space. I was recently asked to repair a gas furnace after a odd HVAC company failed to do the job respectfully. The homeowners had hired a competitor of mine, who overcharged them for very shoddy workmanship. After the repair, the gas furnace ran for less than a week before breaking down again. When the homeowners were unable to get the professional to either come back or return their currency, they called me. I spent various hours in their basement, taking the heating proposal apart, cleaning the numerous components plus replacing defective parts. Unfortunately, the entire time I tested the gas furnace, I could hear the guy plus his husband arguing upstairs. The ductwork carried their voices to the basement. I could hear every word they said. While I was reluctant to eavesdrop on their argument, there was no way to avoid it. The couple was very upset about the amount of currency they’d spent on gas furnace repair, plus each blamed the other a single for hiring the original HVAC company. The whole situation was seriously awkward, plus I couldn’t wait to finish up plus get out of there. However, I felt so terrible for them that I reduced our rate plus gave them a very superb deal on the gas furnace repair.
