I was really happy when my wife bought me a laptop for my birthday.
I honestly didn’t know much about working on computers, but she taught me how to get on the internet and everything.
She also taught me how to use one of the more useful features, the digital calendar. I was able to set alarms, appointments, and recognize certain holidays; it was great. There were certain things that were especially important to me like keeping up with the air filter changes, the HVAC maintenance, and other things like vehicle maintenance. I knew how pressing it was to have the air filters changed on time though, so that was one of the first things I set up in my digital calendar. I also set up things like when to treat the septic tank, family birthdays, and other important events. I love this digital calendar because it actually sounds an alarm to remind me of the important things going on. There were times in the past when I would sometimes miss important air filter changes because my regular calendar didn’t have an alarm. With that alarm that sounds, there’s no missing important events anymore! Another beautiful thing is that we decided to buy a smart thermostat. I learned that I was able to not only adjust the temperature control settings with my laptop, but also with my cell phone! I really must say, it didn’t take long for me to get adjusted to using this modern technology and it really has improved my life a great deal. I guess it was only a matter of time before I finally got with the times.
