When you begin to think about a theme park, you picture a bunch of cool plus colorful rides, mascots plus other fun attractions, right? Well, imagine that same setting in August, plus in the far south.
It’s pretty interesting, if you can imagine it! Between the afternoon sunshine beating down on you plus burning the skin, it’s difficult to make it through the days when visiting these parks without spending half your time in a shaded area. Thankfully for my bestie plus I, we’ve been to our favorite park so often, that the two of us know where all the best “cool-down” spots are. For instance, there’s a small restaurant right when you walk in plus no one ever realizes it’s even there! In the restaurant, they have fabulous air quality due to the central a/c equipment running all afternoon. They also use a whole-home air purifier, which keeps their restaurant from giving off a bad smell. The air is always fresh, plus some people in the restaurant are super polite. I’m sure it’s because they get to work in the cool a/c during their whole shift! There’s a few other spots throughout the park that are great for a quick cool-down, such as the indoor rides plus a character meet-and-greet. These are typically held in huge spaces that are heavily air conditioned, plus kept cool in order to allow the cast members in these costumes to stay cool plus dry. I can’t imagine roaming around in this weather the whole time, wearing a huge fur suit or a ton of make-up on my face!
