I’m undoubtedly starting to wish that my son’s private school pigskin games were televised.
However, don’t get me wrong, I absolutely cherish getting a front row seat to see my kid in action.
It’s just that this early fall weather isn’t fall-like at all! Summer is bitterly still clutching our town, and it is sizzling hot and humid on the Wednesday evenings that I watch my kid play pigskin. I would just love being able to watch the exciting game and support my kid while under some sort of air conditioning system. Although my favorite interest is pigskin, and I am honestly proud of my son, I kind of wish that he took up basketball instead! At least then, I would be coming to watch him in the winter and we would be inside of a gymnasium where the temperature could be regulated. Instead, here I sit daydreaming about air conditioning as I sweat and swat the mosquitoes away. This wouldn’t be such a strenuous issue to deal with if we lived in a city that entirely had proper fall weather! At least I know that by the time I get home I will be able to cherish the cooling sensation that I’ve come to rely on from my air conditioning! I am actually willing to spend whatever is necessary on an electric bill to crank that air conditioning as low as I reasonably can! Anyway, I really hope that my kid and the rest of her private school team will be able to wrap this game up hastily so that we can head home to the air conditioning!
