The air conditioner will be here in three days.

I understand he didn’t deliberately lose the air conditioner, but it wasn’t his responsibility to make sure it was secured

Last week, I was to have a new air conditioning unit delivered. From the time the air conditioning unit was placed on the delivery truck to travel fifteen miles to my home, it had gotten free and fell off the truck. I wasn’t happy that it took almost six hours to get to the house, but there was a major accident that held up traffic for hours. When the HVAC technician didn’t even know he had lost the air conditioning unit, I almost laughed; I was so angry. He told me they were going to need to order another air conditioning unit, and it would take another week before it got delivered. Yesterday, I got a phone call telling me the air conditioner will be here in three days. I’m wondering if the same HVAC technician will be doing the delivery and set-up. I’m not blaming the HVAC technician for losing the air conditioning unit, but he was the driver and responsible for it. Now, I am to receive another AC unit in three days. I’m just wondering if they will send the same HVAC technician or another one. I understand he didn’t deliberately lose the air conditioner, but it wasn’t his responsibility to make sure it was secured. Shouldn’t he have been looking in the back of the truck, occasionally, to make sure the air conditioner hadn’t moved or become loose? I’m sure anyone would have some doubts and concerns about the technician delivering the air conditioner if this had happened to them. It’s bad enough having these doubts now, and I have no idea how nervous I’ll be on the day it is to be delivered.
