I can really get stressed when it comes to loud noises! It started in early childhood with a lot of traumatic experiences.
We lived in the inner city and my family and I constantly heard sirens and gunshots at night, and a friend of mine got shot in their house while they were watching the TV one night and died. It was such a traumatizing experience for me that even leaving the city wasn’t enough to help me cope with the stress. Ever since then, I have been leery of sites and events that feature loud sounds and commotion! There are a lot of vehicles that trigger me as well; for instance, loud motorcycles are terrible because of the engine noises and the noises from the exhaust. I have even had concerns with noisy air conditioners in the past. I have had some air conditioners that kept me up at night because of all of the racket coming from the fan motor, but recently, I started to notice noise coming from my Heating and A/C condenser component instead. I called my heating and cooling supplier to have them send out an Heating and A/C serviceman instantly. The Heating and A/C serviceman checked my entire system and determined that the compressor was failing. My heating and cooling supplier replaced the compressor in my Heating and A/C condenser component and now the whole Heating and A/C system is working again. It’s a pretty expensive replacement process. Now the condenser on my Heating and A/C system is incredibly quiet. It’s a huge difference and noise level for sure. Now I don’t have to worry about the noise from the Heating and A/C condenser triggering me anymore.
