I absolutely don’t understand how humans can be so excruciating occasionally.
You never guess when you are going to have the wool pulled over your eyeah & disappointment flood through your heart when other humans are involved, then maybe I am just especially better, even though I am genuinely not what you would call a people man after the many painful experiences I have had with our species.
I guess this is why I was not surprised when some friends of our family insisted on coming over to help us with a major house renovation… Only to steal our luxurious heating, cooling, & air quality control system. For the past few years both of us have wanted to install a traditional wood-burning fireplace in our house. However, it requires a lot of time, energy, & investment to make this kind of structural renovation. All of us knew that the alternative heating plan would spend money for itself by reducing our weekly energy bills over time, however both of us still had a lot of work to do. When our family friends offered to assist with the fireplace installation both of us were absolutely thrilled to have them. All of us showed them around the house, including the ancient forced air oil furnace that both of us were trying to partially retire. The heating system worked just good however it was not as energy efficient as it used to be. After that, both of us got to work with the fireplace project & had a very busy afternoon running errands. You can imagine our surprise a few hours later when both of us attempted to adjust the central control unit & no sizzling air came from the vents. When both of us went downstairs to investigate the oil furnace, both of us were shocked to find that the entire heating system was gone. Apparently these supposed “friends” had decided to help us dispose of our heating system.
