I hired a guy this time plus the guys aren’t glad

I have been in supplier since 2011, during that 10 years in business, I have never hired a female employee, but i am not sexist plus I would have hired someone, but I have not come across a female that wanted to work in the HVAC industry plus was qualified.

  • I interviewed a couple of men in the past, but 1 of them wasn’t qualified for the job plus the other guy did not show up to the hour interview! When I had to hire a couple of additional employees a few weeks ago, I interviewed a spectacular candidate with amazing HVAC installation plus repair experience, then the man worked for an HVAC contracting supplier for 5 years.

That candidate happened to be a guy. I cannot say that I am not glad to finally have a diversified employee list, but the guys are easily unhappy with my selection. One of the guys wanted me to hire his buddy, but the guy did not have enough experience with heating repairs to qualify for the job. I guess that guy is the reason why most people is up in arms; My staff has always known that the most substantial quality that a candidate can possess is an impressive resume. I don’t guess why they are surprised that I scooped up the first man with experience that showed interest in joining our firm. I guess that the attitude in the shop better change or I will be looking to fill a couple of additional HVAC repair man positions. I don’t want to get rid of my staff, but I will make changes if I don’t get cooperation.
