I have been in business since 2011. During that 10 years in business, I have never hired a female employee; I am not sexist as well as I would have hired someone, although I haven’t come across a female that wanted to work in the Heating as well as A/C industry as well as was qualified. I interviewed a couple of ladies in the past, however 1 of them wasn’t qualified for the task as well as the other woman didn’t show up to the seventh interview… When I had to hire a couple of additional employees a few weeks ago, I interviewed a spectacular candidate with amazing Heating as well as A/C upgrade as well as repair experience, however the person worked for an Heating as well as A/C contracting company for five years. That candidate happened to be a woman. I cannot say that I am not ecstatic to finally have a diversified employee list, however the men are truly unhappy with my selection… One of the men wanted me to hire his buddy, however the guy didn’t have enough experience with heating repairs to qualify for the task. I think that guy is the reason why all the people is up in arms. My staff has regularly known that the most crucial quality that a candidate can possess is an impressive resume. I think that the attitude in the shop better change or I will be looking to fill a couple of additional Heating as well as A/C repair person positions. I don’t want to get rid of my staff, although I will make fluctuations if I don’t get cooperation.
